You can now migrate your image catalog to Img.vision more easily using a new import feature.

Images can be imported from:

  • a URL list you paste,
  • the standard img.vision CSV format,
  • an Inkfrog account/shutdown CSV export,
  • or an Inkfrog listings CSV export.

Both drive owners and managers can run imports.

Tracking progress

A new My Imports page in your dashboard shows the status of each import. Closing your browser does not cancel the import, so you can come back later to check on it.

What you get back

When an import finishes, you can download a mapping file that links each old URL to its new URL. If any images failed to download, an error file lists the exact error message for each one.

Folder structure

A new Imports folder is created in your drive, and each import job gets its own folder inside it.

Inkfrog migrations

On April 29th, Wix announced that the Inkfrog listing tool will be shutdown June 1st. Customers of Inkfrog can export a new account/shutdown CSV to export their listing data, but they do not have an option to download their images. On June 1st their images will be lost; their images are trapped.

This highlights once more why independent image hosting is so important, even if you use a listing tool. We released a new feature last week that allows you to download your images in a zip, at Img.vision you are not locked in.

Img.vision’s new migration tool accepts Inkfrog CSV formats, and can safely and easily migrate your images from Inkfrog to your Img.vision drive.

The importer creates a folder per listing to keep your images organized.

You can choose to import only the main images, or also include images referenced in the description (banners, logos, template images).

If multiple listings share the same image URLs, a Shared images folder is created to hold them.

Handling duplicate filenames

Image filenames need to be unique across your entire drive, regardless of which folder they sit in.

When the importer finds an image with the same filename as one already in your drive, you can choose to overwrite the existing image, skip the import for that file, or rename the incoming image so it has a unique filename.

Availability

The import tool is available on Pro and Pro Max image subscription plans.

Limitations

You can run one import at a time per drive. If many customers are importing at once, your import will be scheduled.

A CSV cannot be larger than 50 MB or contain more than 5000 rows.
