Four days ago our image uploading service went down.
We were able to quickly recover and we are taking steps to prevent the same situation from happening again, but I learned that we hadn’t set up any monitoring for this service. So I found out via customers contacting me, not the best situation to be in.
I’ve now configured a monitor for our image uploading service and added the monitor for full transparency to our public status page:
Next time something happens with this service, we’ll be alerted within 5 minutes and immediately take steps to resolve the situation.
